Mangala Devi Temple is a hidden treasure inside the forest 53kms away from Vagamon. The temple is built in the traditional Kerala style of architecture. Visitors are allowed here only on Chithra Pournami festival day from 7 in the morning till 7 at night. According to legends Kannaki was betrayed at this place and she in order to show her grudge, transformed herself into a goddess and showering her blessings on her people. Hence making her get the name of Mangala Devi.
